Thank God Almost We're Ready at Last

Pre-Game Prep

By the first day of practice on August 16th, the line was required to be ready to run a 6-minute and 30-second mile. The backs and wide-outs had to be prepared to run a 6-minute mile. Also, all the players were required to show up for the first day of practice in order to be on the team.

One player, Jim Brown was out of town with his family, so he was not at practice on the first day. He and his mother showed up at the field three days later to talk to Doc. His mother explained what happen and why Jim wasn’t able to be at the first day of practice. Jim really wanted to play on the team.
